Location: Los Alamos, NM Overview: We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Registered Nurse to join our Labor & Delivery team. This position is ideal for those who have a passion for providing exceptional care to childbearing aged women and newborns. As a member of our healthcare team, you will play a crucial role in delivering high-quality care during one of the most important times in a patient's life. Responsibilities: - Provide comprehensive nursing care to patients in the Labor & Delivery and Postpartum units.- Work collaboratively with healthcare teams to ensure safe and effective treatment plans.- Monitor patient conditions and provide support for labor, delivery, and postpartum recovery.- Maintain accurate electronic health records (EHR) using OBIX and Medhost systems.- Ensure adherence to hospital policies, protocols, and best practices.- Participate in patient education and support programs. Qualifications: - Minimum of 1 year of experience in Labor & Delivery/Postpartum nursing.- Must possess valid certifications: ACLS, AWHONN, BLS, HWC, NRP.- Current Registered Nurse licensure for New Mexico.- Experience with LDRP related care preferred.- Strong communication and teamwork skills with a patient experience focus. Unit Information: - Number of Beds: 4 Labor rooms, 4 Postpartum rooms- Patient Ratios: 2:1 in LDRP, 3 couplets:1 in Postpartum- Supervisor: Debra Temple, CNO Additional Requirements: - Background checks and fingerprinting required prior to hire.- Ability to start on a 14-day waiver while waiting for background check results. Dress Code: - Scrub color is not specified; however, no casual wear is permitted.
