The ideal candidate will have a minimum of two years of experience in nursing, particularly in managing adult medical progressive care patients within a step-down or telemetry unit. Responsibilities: - Provide comprehensive nursing care for adult inpatients in an Intermediate Care (IMC) and telemetry unit setting. - Monitor patient health and provide necessary interventions to ensure patient safety and comfort. - Effectively manage and collaborate with a diverse healthcare team to optimize patient outcomes. - Maintain accurate and updated patient records using electronic medical records (EMR) systems, specifically MedHost. - Adhere to all safety protocols and procedures while floating between IMC and telemetry units as required. - Maintain a patient-to-nurse ratio of 1:4 in IMC and 1:6 in telemetry, ensuring high-quality care for all patients. Qualifications: - Valid nursing license in the state of practice. - Minimum of two years of nursing experience in an IMC or telemetry unit. - Current certifications in Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS), and National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale (NIHSS). - Strong interpersonal skills to manage complex patient and family dynamics. - Ability to work nights and adapt to a flexible schedule, including potential blocked scheduling requests. - Must be able to accommodate a maximum of one week of requested time-off added to the end of the contract.
