This position will require the nurse to work night shifts and involve a range of patient care responsibilities in a busy medical-surgical setting. Key Responsibilities: - Conduct thorough patient assessments upon admission and throughout their hospital stay.- Administer medications as per established protocols and physician orders.- Provide wound care management for patients, ensuring optimal healing and infection prevention.- Educate patients and their families on care plans and health management strategies post-discharge.- Coordinate care effectively with other healthcare professionals to ensure the best patient outcomes.- Complete accurate documentation in the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system (MedHost).- Participate in floating to various units as needed, ensuring flexibility in patient care. Qualifications: - Minimum of 1 year of Med Surg RN experience required.- Current Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications are required.- Computer skills are essential for documenting and retrieving patient information.- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple patient care tasks.- Willingness to float to other nursing units as required. Patient Ratio: 6:1 Scrub Color: Any solid matching colors Guaranteed Hours: 48 hours per week may be approved upon request. Block scheduling may also be considered if requested in the submission.
