Pay Information $2,452 per week About The Position Job Title: Surgical Inpatient Registered Nurse Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 20 weeks Shift: 12 Hour Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 1 year recent nursing experience in a large hospital setting (200 beds) License: Active RN License (ND or Compact) Certifications: Active BLS (must be AHA) Must-Have: - Minimum 1 year recent nursing experience in a large hospital setting - Active ND or Compact RN License - Active BLS certification (AHA) - Willingness to float to any Medical Surgical unit across multiple locations if needed - Travel experience highly preferred - Experience working in a busy level one trauma center Description: The registered nurse will provide patient care in a medical surgical unit. Responsibilities include electronic documentation, assessments, and patient education. Experience with EPIC for electronic charting is required. The nurse will utilize equipment such as AcuDose and other identified inpatient equipment. The unit cares for adult trauma, medical, and surgical patients with a wide range of needs. All clinicians must badge in and out. The position requires the nurse to work 12-hour shifts, including every other weekend and holiday. The nurse will be expected to balance their schedule while being mindful of the unit's needs. Patient to nurse ratio is typically 1:4-5 during the day and 1:5-6 at night. Candidates who have worked previously must have a gap of 6 months before applying. Floating may be required to other units or departments as needed.
