Base pay range

$110,000.00/yr - $130,000.00/yr

We are working with a mission-driven organization that is recognized for its commitment to community health and social impact. As part of their continued growth and dedication to financial excellence, they are seeking a dynamic Finance Director to join their leadership team.
About The Opportunity
This role reports directly to the Chief Financial Officer and is responsible for overseeing all accounting operations, financial reporting, and internal controls. The Finance Director plays a key role in developing and implementing systems that ensure the organizations financial health, compliance, and operational efficiency. This position also supervises a dedicated accounting team and collaborates across departments to support strategic decision-making.
Key Responsibilities

• Direct and manage all accounting functions, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting in compliance with GAAP.
• Establish and maintain robust internal controls and accounting systems.
• Prepare and present financial reports, variance analyses, and strategic recommendations to the CFO.
• Oversee budget development, cash flow management, capital asset tracking, and reconciliations.
• Manage monthly payroll processes, tax filings, W-2s, 1099s, and payroll-related audits.
• Lead the preparation for annual financial audits and ensure full audit readiness.
• Monitor and direct cash flow activities and bank account transfers.
• Supervise accounting staff, providing ongoing support, coaching, and professional development.
• Partner with systems teams and vendors to maintain and improve accounting technology solutions.
  

Qualifications

• Bachelors degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field required.
• Minimum 5 years of relevant accounting or finance experience, with at least 3 years in a leadership or supervisory role.
• Strong understanding of GAAP, financial compliance standards, and audit processes.
• Proven experience managing accounting operations and team performance.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to translate financial information for non-financial stakeholders.
• Highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of managing multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
