The emergency department has a total of 101 beds. Patient-to-nurse ratios typically range from 4:1 to 7:1 on behavioral holds. Technicians are available to assist with cardiac monitoring and the internal processing area. Unit clerks are present for both day and night shifts. Typical equipment includes Baxter pumps and GE monitors. Documentation is managed through a specified system. Scheduling requirements include availability for every other weekend. Please note that block scheduling cannot be accommodated. Floating outside of the emergency department is not permitted, but staff may float to various sections within the department. Patient experience requirements include adhering to AIDET, demonstrating respectful behavior, and keeping patient boards updated throughout their visit. Candidates should have prior experience in a Level 2 trauma center or a comprehensive stroke center with a high volume of emergency visits. Previous experience with a specified healthcare system is preferred. The department is known for its teamwork and welcoming environment.
