Pay Information $2,143 per week About The Position Job Title: RN - Labor & Delivery/Postpartum Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Labor & Delivery/Postpartum Duration: 10 weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 hours (1900 - 0700) Experience: Minimum 2 years of LDRP experience required License: RN License required Certifications: BLS, ACLS, EFM, NRP required; NCC-EFM or RNC-OB preferred Must-Have: Experience with all aspects of LDRP patient care Experience circulating c-sections Experience with newborn care including heel sticks, 24-hour testing, NAS scoring, lactation support Description: The position is for a Registered Nurse specializing in Labor & Delivery/Postpartum. The unit serves approximately 1500 patients per year. There are 29 beds and 1 operating room suite in the unit. Patient ratios are acuity-based, with 1-3 CNAs per shift. Support within the department includes OB Tech and receptionist duties. A charge nurse and case manager are available 24/7, along with OB physicians and pediatricians. Lactation consultants are also part of the support team. There is no remote telemonitoring. EMR used is EPIC. IV pumps, medication dispensing, and fetal monitors are all part of the technology in use. Floating may be required within the region and scope of practice. Travelers may be asked to float to different facilities as needed. Scheduling allows for up to 6 days off, excluding holidays. Shift times are from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. or 7 p.m. to 7 a.m. The schedule cycle is every 6 weeks. Scrub color is navy blue or business casual to/from work, with hospital-issued scrubs worn during shifts.
