We are seeking an experienced Labor and Delivery Nurse who is passionate about maternal health and dedicated to delivering high-quality patient care. Key Responsibilities: - Provide direct nursing care to laboring patients, ensuring a safe and supportive environment.- Assist with vaginal deliveries and C-sections, offering expertise throughout the birthing process.- Deliver comprehensive care to postpartum patients and manage newborn care in the nursery.- Collaborate with an interdisciplinary team to develop and implement individualized care plans.- Maintain accurate patient records using EMR (Meditech, CPN).- Adhere to established protocols and guidelines, ensuring compliance with best practices in maternal and infant care. Patient Ratios: - Labor: 1:1 (most of the time)- Post-Partum: 5-6:1- Nursery: 5-6:1 Qualifications: - Required: Minimum of 2 years of labor and delivery experience.- Preferred: 2+ years of experience in an LDRP setting with high birth volumes.- Certification: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Fetal Monitoring Certification. Dress Code: - Navy blue scrubs; MIU nurses will wear pink badges for infant security.
