Pay Information $1,941 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Emergency Room Duration: 16 weeks Shift: Day and Night rotating shifts Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum of 2 years of Emergency Department experience required. License: Valid compact or state nursing license required. Certifications: BCLS (Basic Cardiac Life Support) ACLS (Advanced Cardiac Life Support) NIHSS (National Institutes of Health Stroke Scale) PALS (Pediatric Advanced Life Support) Must-Have: Proficient in IV starts Experience with telemetry monitoring Description: This position is within an Emergency Department specializing in oncology. Candidates can commit to a 13-week assignment or extend to a maximum of 24 weeks. Manager preference is for candidates able to end their assignment by specific dates to support holiday coverage. A maximum of 7 days off may be requested, with the approval of one major holiday off. Requests for time off cannot occur within the first 2 weeks of the contract. Floating to other units may be required. Candidates must be open to working a combination of day and night shifts as per department needs. Shift assignments are evaluated every 4 weeks, but changes are not guaranteed. Oncology experience is preferred, but not required. Epic charting experience is mandatory. The patient care ratio is 1:4. Preferred skills include blood product administration, central line management, and interpretation of dysrhythmias. Candidates must have experience in isolation precautions and management of ventilated patients. Professional references are required, including one from a leadership role. All candidates must be aware of the urgency of the fingerprinting process. Immediate completion of fingerprinting is required after acceptance of the position. Travelers residing outside the state will need to manage their travel for fingerprinting efficiently. Education must come from an accredited program.
