It encompasses the treatment of cardiopulmonary impairment. The assessment of treatment effectiveness is also part of this role. Care is provided for patients with deficiencies and abnormalities in the cardiopulmonary system. Respiratory Care Practitioners attend all high-risk deliveries and manage the neonate's airway according to Neonatal Protocol. They are responsible for the patient's airway and provide ventilatory support during resuscitations. Ventilatory care is delivered in various specialized areas, including the Emergency Department and ICU. All patient care is conducted under the supervision of a licensed physician. Decisions regarding patient care are made based on assessment data and diagnostic information analysis. Weekends are required every other week. There is no call required for this position. Floating may be necessary within the facility and within the scope of practice as needed. Travelers are expected to work major holidays if they fall within the assignment period. Compliance must be full to ensure on-time start. The unit accepts first-time travelers. References from supervisory roles are highly preferred for submission. Emergency response and critical care skills are essential for this position. Modules are completed during orientation and requirements vary by specialty.
