A well-established law firm is seeking a motivated and dynamic Insurance Coverage Attorney to join its national and international practice. The role is ideal for an attorney with strong litigation experience in insurance coverage matters, including the analysis of coverage issues, drafting of pleadings, and dispositive motions. The position is based in Austin or Houston, Texas, and offers the opportunity to collaborate with a global team. This is a full-time, permanent position with the possibility of hybrid work arrangements. Location: Houston, TX Duties: Analyze insurance coverage issues and draft coverage opinions. Draft pleadings, dispositive motions, and manage discovery in insurance coverage litigation. Take and defend depositions, attend court conferences, and argue motions (experience in these areas is preferred but not required). Collaborate with colleagues and clients in a global environment. Participate in business development initiatives and client relationships. Requirements: At least two years of relevant experience in insurance coverage litigation. Experience in analyzing insurance coverage issues and drafting coverage opinions. Strong background in drafting pleadings, dispositive motions, and managing discovery. Experience with depositions, court conferences, and arguing motions is beneficial but not required. Admitted and in good standing in Texas. Additional bar admissions in other states are a plus. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications: Must be licensed to practice law in Texas. Additional bar admissions in other states are advantageous. Skills: Excellent research, analytical, and writing skills. Strong verbal communication and advocacy abilities. Ability to manage multiple cases and deadlines effectively. Proficiency in Microsoft Office and legal research tools. Strong organizational skills with attention to detail. Annual performance-based raises and discretionary bonuses. 1920-hour annual billable hour requirement. Business development training and mentorship from associates and partners.
