About the Role
The company is seeking an innovative and strategic Vice President of Private Equity Fund Accounting to play a crucial role in fund reporting and enhancing investor communications. In this dynamic position, you will oversee quarterly reporting, manage capital activities, and streamline both in-house and outsourced fund operations. This includes working closely with auditors, fund administrators, and various internal stakeholders while spearheading process improvements.
You will thrive in a high-volume environment and are expected to lead teams effectively while maintaining a keen attention to detail. Key responsibilities include:
Oversight of fund reporting and capital activity management.
Audit coordination and vendor relationship management.
Leadership across cross-functional teams.
Development and continual enhancement of fund accounting processes.
Cash and treasury management.
The ideal candidate will possess a Bachelor's degree in accounting, finance, or a related field, and will be a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) with 12-15 years of experience in public accounting and private equity fund accounting. Proficiency in Investran and InvestorVision, along with advanced Excel skills, is essential. A solid understanding of private equity structures, fund lifecycle events, and investor reporting standards, including ILPA, is critical.
This role is perfect for an individual with experience in both in-house and outsourced fund structures who is eager to mentor staff and drive reporting automation within the firm.
