Job Summary:
We are seeking a
Senior HVAC Technician
to join our team at Fort Knox. This position involves servicing, maintaining, and repairing a wide range of
commercial, industrial, and residential HVAC systems . We are open to
training qualified residential HVAC technicians
who are eager to expand their skills into commercial and industrial systems.
Responsibilities:
Perform
installation, troubleshooting, repair, and maintenance
of various HVAC systems, including but not limited to:
Chillers (air-cooled & water-cooled)
Boilers
DX systems
VRF systems
Air handlers
Split systems
Package units
Heat pumps
Exhaust fans and make-up air units
Refrigeration units
Diagnose
electrical, mechanical, and control system issues
using advanced troubleshooting techniques.
Conduct
preventative maintenance
to ensure systems operate efficiently.
Read and interpret
blueprints, technical drawings, and control diagrams .
Work with
Building Automation Systems (BAS)
to optimize HVAC performance.
Maintain
accurate service records, logs, and reports .
Assist in training and mentoring junior technicians.
Follow all
safety protocols, OSHA guidelines, and site-specific requirements .
Communicate effectively with management, team members, and site personnel.
Qualifications:
Minimum
5+ years
of experience in HVAC service and repair (residential technicians encouraged to apply).
EPA Universal Certification
required.
HVAC Journeyman or Master License
but not required.
Experience with
commercial and industrial HVAC systems
is a plus.
Ability to
troubleshoot complex issues
and work independently.
Comfortable using
diagnostic tools, multimeters, and refrigerant gauges .
Strong knowledge
control systems .
Basic knowledge of
plumbing and mechanical systems .
Willingness to complete
on-the-job training for specialized systems .
Ability to lift 50+ lbs, climb ladders, and work in various environments.
