Salary Range:
$130,000 - $140,000 annually Position Overview We are seeking a seasoned
Controller
to lead our financial operations and oversee the accounting functions of both our construction and real estate portfolios. Reporting directly to the President, this position plays a strategic role in guiding financial planning, compliance, reporting, and operational oversight. The ideal candidate will bring strong leadership skills, construction industry experience, and a sharp analytical mindset. Key Responsibilities
Manage day-to-day accounting operations including accounts payable, accounts receivable, general ledger, and payroll Prepare accurate monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements and reports Lead budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning efforts Monitor cash flow, working capital, and liquidity across business units Oversee project-based job costing and related financial tracking Ensure compliance with GAAP, tax regulations, and industry standards Coordinate with external auditors for annual audits and regulatory filings Supervise and develop accounting staff, promoting efficiency and accuracy Review and improve internal financial systems and controls Manage banking, treasury, and insurance relationships Maintain vendor and client financial communications, including invoicing and collections Prepare financial packages for bonding and insurance partners Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field CPA, CMA, or CCIFP certification preferred Minimum 7 years of progressive accounting experience, including 3+ years in a leadership role Construction industry experience is required Strong knowledge of accounting systems (experience with Sage 100 Contractor preferred) Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel Excellent communication and leadership skills Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities Benefits
