General Liability Defense Attorney

Job Overview: A well-established law firm is seeking a General Liability Defense Attorney with 1-5 years of defense litigation experience to join its growing team. The ideal candidate will have experience in first-party property and personal injury litigation, although it is not a requirement. Location: Duties: Handle defense litigation cases related to general liability, first-party property, and personal injury. Manage a caseload from inception through resolution, including preparing and filing legal documents, conducting discovery, and representing clients in court. Collaborate with team members and senior attorneys to develop case strategies and provide legal counsel. Communicate with clients and keep them informed on case progress. Participate in depositions, mediations, and trials. Requirements: 1-5 years of defense litigation experience. Experience in first-party property and personal injury litigation is preferred. Strong communication and legal writing skills. Ability to handle multiple cases and work independently. Team-oriented with a collaborative approach to problem-solving. Education: Juris Doctor (J.D.) from an accredited law school. Certifications: Licensed to practice law in Florida. Skills: Knowledge of general liability defense and related areas of law. Strong legal research, drafting, and negotiation skills. Excellent written and oral communication skills. Ability to manage a varied caseload and prioritize effectively.
