Overview

The UCF Student Success and Well-Being department is accepting applications for an Associate Vice President for Enrollment Management (AVPEM). This role manages the university’s efforts to recruit undergraduate students with the experience, aptitude, and skills to succeed at the University of Central Florida (UCF). The AVPEM provides strategic leadership and oversight for undergraduate admissions, student financial assistance, and the registrar, and collaborates on developing and implementing the university’s strategic enrollment plan. The Associate Vice President reports to the Vice President for Student Success and Well-Being and collaborates with senior leadership across the university to ensure that undergraduate admissions, financial aid, and registration services operate effectively and support improvements in student success performance. The AVPEM must possess strong leadership skills, align with the university’s mission and goals, and bring proven skills in managing enrollment processes, operations, and issues across a complex organization. This position requires knowledge of admission policies and practices at state and federal levels, enrollment management trends, financial aid and registration best practices, and experience managing personnel and budgets. Direct knowledge of recruitment, marketing, financial aid, budgeting, and information systems to promote efficiency is essential. This leader will strategically leverage the institution’s financial aid budget and use data and predictive modeling to achieve enrollment goals. The AVPEM will make optimal use of federal, state, and institutional resources in recruiting and retaining undergraduates while ensuring campus compliance with applicable federal and state regulations and policies. The AVPEM will build a best-in-class enrollment services division and foster a culture of excellence; establish and implement short- and long-range organizational and strategic goals, objectives, policies, and operating procedures; monitor and evaluate programmatic and operational effectiveness; and implement changes required for continued improvement. Responsibilities

Working in partnership with senior university leadership, the AVPEM will: Cultivate and strengthen relationships with key stakeholders within and outside the university community. Establish and maintain liaisons with administrative and academic units, alumni, parents, community, and state partners to improve community relations and advance program development. Ensure that academic units are informed and up to date on general admission policies, procedures, trends, and recruiting and marketing activities. Enhance an existing integrated marketing and communications plan in partnership with the UCF communications and marketing division for print, electronic, and social media recruiting platforms, using research-based decisions on messaging and delivery mediums. Provide comprehensive statistical and data-informed analyses for sound admissions, financial aid, and registration policy decisions. Execute and continually analyze, refine, and manage processes, policies, technologies, and resources dedicated to delivering admissions, recruitment activities, delivery of student aid, marketing strategies, and enrollment services to attract students beginning with pre-college initiatives and high-level visit experiences progressing through the enrollment funnel. Monitor and assess data to evaluate the effectiveness of recruitment efforts and scholarship programs, including social media, marketing, and other technologies that enhance yield among prospective students and families. Strategic oversight of registration, course management, record retention, and dissemination practices and requirements in the registrar’s office. Develop and use existing and emerging technologies to communicate and build relationships with students, families, and secondary school leadership. Leverage the CRM to deliver communications, track engagement, and analyze digital behavior to inform data-driven decisions for outreach and recruitment of new undergraduates. Evaluate and continuously improve the practices of the student enrollment experience, including timely, effective, and positive engagement with students and families throughout admissions, financial aid, and registration. Collaborate with deans and colleagues to provide the vision for short- and long-term enrollment goals and effective marketing strategies to optimize enrollment opportunities in targeted programs. Minimum Qualifications

Master’s degree and 10+ years of relevant experience or terminal degree and 7+ years of relevant experience with at least 5+ year(s) of leadership experience, or an equivalent combination of education and experience pursuant to Fla. Leadership experience in undergraduate recruitment, admissions, strategic enrollment management, data analytics, retention, and marketing at an institution of higher education. A proven track record of increases in prospects/inquiries, application/admission, deposit/yield conversion rates as contributing factors toward enrollment growth and health. Deep knowledge of and proficient use of current search strategies, admissions technologies, data analytics tools, predictive modeling, financial aid leveraging tools, and digital recruitment campaigns. Proven track record of meeting and achieving enrollment goals through innovation and adoption of best practices. Understanding of Title IV regulations. Experience ensuring institutional compliance with local, state, and federal regulations. Experience managing budgets and developing enrollment modeling. Excellent interpersonal, organizational, oral, and written communication skills are required. Experience optimizing Slate or similar CRMs in a PeopleSoft environment. Understanding of the enrollment factors and demographic trends driving enrollment of different categories of student populations. Demonstrated ability in building an excellent and collegial team, leadership, supervision, management, selection, performance evaluation, conflict resolution, and problem-solving within the context of a comprehensive college or university admissions and financial aid offices. A demonstrated understanding of the importance of building and maintaining open dialogue and communication. Can effectively represent the university and communicate with external audiences and stakeholders. Possesses advanced problem-solving and decision-making skills. Comfortable balancing systems-level thinking with tactical acuity.
