About the Role

The Company is seeking a Vice President of Development to spearhead its fundraising efforts during a period of significant growth and impact. The successful candidate will be responsible for leading the strategy and execution of a comprehensive plan to increase philanthropic revenue, with a focus on individual, foundation, corporate, and legacy giving. This role demands a bold and strategic leader with a proven track record in development, including the ability to secure major gifts and manage a high-performing team. The VP will work closely with the CEO, Board, and energized lay leadership to expand the organization's base of support and will be instrumental in shaping the future of the company, mobilizing donors and partners who share a commitment to equity and dignity for all.

Key qualifications for the role include a strong commitment to the mission of the company, at least 8 years' of experience in nonprofit development, and a successful history of increasing fundraising revenue. The ideal candidate will be a hands-on leader, an effective and inspirational manager, and a strong communicator with excellent presentation skills. They should be adept at working with individuals at all levels of the organization and be prepared to travel as needed. A deep commitment to the values of diversity, equity, inclusion, and belonging, as well as a passion for social justice, is essential. The role requires the ability to transition from strategic to tactical, a strong attention to detail, and a willingness to foster a culture of stewardship and donor gratitude.
