We are seeking a detail-oriented Underwriter to join our growing team and contribute to our ongoing success.

Your Impact: • Play a key role in driving sound investment decisions that directly impact company profitability and growth. • Safeguard DFS against risk by ensuring underwriting accuracy and adherence to company standards. • Help maintain DFS’s reputation as an industry leader by supporting high loan quality, efficient closings, and exceptional client outcomes.
In This Role You Will: • Analyze single-family residential real estate transactions • Assess construction and rehabilitation budgets • Prepare detailed financial analyses and investment summaries • Communicate effectively with internal and external stakeholders • Adapt to changing company strategies and processes • Utilize Excel and Word for analysis and reporting • Leverage MLS and/or CoStar experience (a plus)
Requirements: • Background in single-family residential real estate • Experience in real estate finance • Construction and rehab knowledge • Critical thinking and adaptability in a fast-moving environment • Strong Excel and Word skills • Excellent verbal and written communication • MLS/CoStar experience a plus
Preferred Qualifications: • Highly analytical with strong quantitative skills • Exceptional attention to detail • Focused and self-motivated • Demonstrated knowledge of construction and rehabbing
