Base pay range $90,000.00/yr - $110,000.00/yr Direct message the job poster from Landing Point Company Overview: A nonprofit organization in the education space is seeking their first HR hire. This person will shape HR from the ground up, advocate for employees, and build programs that make a lasting impact. Job Responsibilities: Act as the first dedicated HR resource, overseeing all core HR functions and initiatives. Manage benefits administration, including open enrollment and vendor relationships. Prepare payroll using Paychex, in partnership with Accounting. Refine and oversee the performance review process to ensure consistent, actionable feedback. Support employee development by coordinating training and growth opportunities. Lead the optimization and implementation of HRIS systems (Workday experience strongly preferred). Conduct an initial HR audit to identify gaps and enhance policies, compliance, and processes. Develop and execute employee engagement strategies, with a focus on a mostly remote workforce. Coordinate company events and team-building activities to strengthen culture. Provide light office management support such as vendor coordination and meeting logistics. Qualifications: Proven HR management/operations experience, ideally in a smaller or growing company. Strong knowledge of benefits, payroll (Paychex), compliance, and HR best practices. Hands-on experience with HRIS / Workday highly preferred. Ability to build and maintain a positive, engaged, and collaborative culture. Excellent communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills. Compensation:
