What to Expect (Job Responsibilities): - Lead the health practice and team to achieve strategic growth and market distinction - Serve as a strategic partner to clients, directing high-impact programs to meet their business goals - Build and nurture long-term client relationships while providing leadership and strategic guidance - Identify and lead new business pitches to attract new clients and achieve growth targets - Develop strong media relations programs to drive positive coverage for clients
What is Required (Qualifications): - Minimum 10 years of experience in communications, ideally both agency and in-house - Extensive experience leading strategic communication strategies within healthcare, medtech, pharma, and life sciences - Demonstrated experience in new business efforts, including outreach, proposal development, and pitching - Significant experience providing communications counsel to executives and senior marketers - Business acumen in budgeting, billing, and staffing
How to Stand Out (Preferred Qualifications): - Strong experience in pharma, biotech, and/or life sciences - Innovative thinker with a track record of translating strategic thinking into actionable plans - Experience with integrated programs spanning digital, editorial, and media relations - Excellent judgment and creative problem-solving skills - Ability to establish measurement programs and assess the ROI of communications activities
