Job Summary:

The Director Strategy and Business Development supports the development and implementation of goals and strategies to ensure JPS Health Network’s financial growth and expansion. This position researches, prospects and identifies new business development activities that will enhance current services and/or provide new services, seeks opportunities for strategic growth and promotes new revenue streams that will support the JPS Health Network’s mission, vision, long-range strategic plan and the communities served by the enterprise.

Essential Job Functions & Accountabilities

Identifies strategic opportunities that address issues the organization is trying to solve for such as service and/or business gaps across communities served by the JPS Health Network; and targets innovative approaches that will allow the enterprise to close those gaps by developing business plans that support new offerings that may include building strategic partnerships with entities that can provide solutions through Joint Ventures, Joint Operating Agreements, or other aligned partnership models. Researches, sources and evaluates potential strategic growth opportunities and business development partnerships that will expand the reach of the JPS Health Network while providing new revenue streams. Aligns with the JPS Health Network’s medical group (Acclaim), conducting market research, competitor analysis and prospects opportunities to expand their reach into existing and/or new markets. Informs the Office of Strategy Management of all business development activities to ensure alignment with the organization’s mission and strategic priorities. Leverages data analytics to support new business opportunities. Nurtures relationships with potential JPS Health Network business partners that allows both organizations to identify synergies that may lead to long-term strategic partnerships. Partners with the JPS Health Network’s leadership team responsible for external affairs to ensure alignment across the market when prospecting business development opportunities. Engages organizational functional areas (Operations, IT, Legal) through the Office of Strategy Management at optimal points during the business development cycle to proactively inform leaders of a pending business/service opportunity. Tracks and manages business development activities on an ongoing basis, keeping the organization informed from initial market research through closing. Supports integration of new business opportunities that are initiated through the Director, Strategy and Business Development function on an as needed basis. Manages strategic partnerships and supports performance tracking once opportunities close to ensure intended goals (growth targets, financial performance, etc.) are achieved. Develops materials to effectively communicate JPS Health Network’s strategy and progress towards defined business development and strategic partnership goals. Works in collaboration across the matrix of the organization with all JPS Health Network leadership. Monitors, analyzes and reports on healthcare industry trends and makes strategy/strategic growth recommendations. Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

Master’s degree in Business Administration, Healthcare Administration, Finance, Marketing or other related field. A minimum of 5 plus years of progressive work experience in a health care related field including Health Systems, Pharmaceuticals, Healthcare Cooperatives, etc. with increasing responsibilities and experience in business development, growth and strategic partnerships. Familiarity with the Dallas/Fort Worth market.

Preferred Qualifications:

Project Management work experience.
