Senior Electrical Engineer / Group Leader
to join our growing team in our Miami, FL office (Hybrid Schedule). What You Will Achieve
As a
Senior Electrical Engineer / Group Leader , you will be designing the building infrastructure for projects including Healthcare, Mission Critical Data Centers, Science and Technology, Academic and Commercial buildings. Expand your skillset and have a voice by contributing to Vanderweil’s project approach. This role will lead electrical design efforts on complex projects, mentor junior engineers, and collaborate closely with clients, Architects, and other engineering disciplines. Responsibilities
Serve as lead project engineer on a variety of projects from new construction to renovations through all phases from conceptual design to construction. Responsible for the design of power distribution, lighting, emergency and standby power supply in accordance with NEC codes and standards. Develop specifications, legends, site plans, lighting plans, power plans, one-lines, riser diagrams, details, schedules (panelboard, mechanical) as well as load calculations. Be part of the project team in the production of engineering solutions for large-scale and complex building projects. Lead the electrical team of engineers and designers and provide technical guidance in the development of construction documents and support staff on technical and administrative issues. Mentor and supervise junior engineers. Work with the Managing Principal, Project Managers and Electrical team to plan work and balance deliverables with budgets on multiple projects. Perform Construction Administration tasks such as field visits, field reports, RFIs and reviewing shop drawings. Qualifications
10+ years of related experience Bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering or equivalent experience Understanding of the NEC, IBC and IECC SKM, AGI 32 and AMPCALC 4 is a plus PE license is a plus Benefits & Work Culture
