Technical Subject Matter Expert - Healthcare
Sierra7, Inc. is seeking an experienced Technology Subject Matter Expert (SME) - Healthcare with past executive-level healthcare experience to join our team and work with the Veterans Health Administration Office of Finance for the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA). In this position, the SME will provide support to the iFAMS Deployment Team to assist in the deployment of VA’s new financial and acquisition Integrated Facilities & Asset Management (iFAMS) system across the enterprise. This role will provide expertise with system configuration, interfaces, infrastructure, testing, conversion and cut over assistance. Position Responsibilities
Assist with documenting configuration requirements, preparing configuration workbooks, and supporting system build validation activities. Support interface documentation, requirements gathering, testing coordination, and issue tracking for data exchanges between iFAMS and interfacing systems. Provide coordination support related to infrastructure readiness, system access, environment management, and deployment logistics. Assist in data profiling, data validation, cleansing activities, data migration preparation, and documentation of data quality issues. Support development of communication plans, stakeholder engagement materials, training plans, and change readiness assessments. Develop draft training materials, quick reference guides, and job aids to support iFAMS end-users. Support test script development, test execution coordination, defect tracking, and documentation of testing results. Assist with planning, coordinating, and documenting data conversion activities, reconciliation efforts, and system cutover readiness. Provide technical assistance in developing report requirements, validating reports, and supporting report development processes. Attend all required meetings with internal and external stakeholders. Demonstrated success as Technical Subject Matter Expert Strong understanding of complex healthcare systems, preferably with experience in navigating the VHA’s Veteran Integrated Service Network (VISN) structure, or comparable healthcare network structure. Past executive-level healthcare experience that has led or contributed to setting vision and direction for a large and complex healthcare organization, preferably with VHA and/or the Department of Defense Healthcare System Experience developing strategic and tactical plans Ability to effectively communicate policy and information to large organizations. Ability to communicate complex technical information to diverse audiences. Experience supporting financial and acquisition and/or electronic health records systems. Prior system implementation experience involving numerous legacy systems Familiarity of 508 compliance standards. (desired) Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline Executive-level healthcare experience with a large healthcare organization.
