Kavaliro
is seeking a skilled
Network Engineer
to design, implement, and manage complex enterprise networks in a security-focused environment. The ideal candidate will be a mid-career to senior-level professional with strong problem-solving abilities, exceptional communication skills, and a collaborative approach to working within cross-functional technical teams.
Responsibilities
Design, configure, and maintain enterprise network infrastructure, including routing, switching, and firewall systems.
Implement and troubleshoot routing protocols such as BGP, OSPF, and EIGRP.
Configure and manage Cisco IOS/NX-OS, Juniper Junos devices, and L2/L3 technologies (VLANs, spanning tree, port channeling, redundancy protocols like HSRP/VRRP).
Administer Palo Alto Networks firewalls, including security policies, NAT, VPN (IPSec/SSL), and advanced features (App-ID, User-ID, Threat Prevention, URL Filtering).
Support Juniper SRX and MX series devices, as well as Cisco ASA/FTD appliances (including migration projects).
Integrate network devices with NSOC tools, SIEM platforms (Splunk, QRadar, Elastic), and vulnerability scanners.
Utilize network monitoring solutions (Nagios, SolarWinds, PRTG) and log management tools.
Develop and maintain network automation scripts using Python, Ansible, or Terraform to streamline configurations and management tasks.
Participate in systems integration efforts and ensure compliance with enterprise or DoDAF architecture standards.
Provide technical documentation and communicate complex concepts to both technical and non-technical audiences.
Required Qualifications
5+ years of experience in enterprise network engineering, with a focus on security environments.
Strong troubleshooting, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
Expertise in routing, switching, and firewall configuration.
Active TS/SCI Clearance
Collaborative experience working with systems, security, and DevOps teams.
One or more professional certifications: CCNP, JNCIP, or equivalent
Preferred Qualifications
PCNSE certification.
CCIE or JNCIE certification.
Experience in scripting/automation for network management.
