Base pay range

$165,000.00/yr - $200,000.00/yr Director of Electrical Engineering

to lead a high-performing engineering team with a focus on

medium voltage systems . This role will oversee all aspects of electrical engineering design, implementation, and support for capital and operational projects. The ideal candidate brings

10+ years of technical experience

in medium voltage applications and a strong leadership background. Experience with

artificial lift systems

is preferred. Key Responsibilities

Lead, mentor, and manage a team of electrical engineers and designers. Oversee the design, specification, and execution of electrical systems, focusing on medium voltage distribution and power systems. Establish and enforce engineering standards, procedures, and quality control processes. Provide technical oversight and support for medium voltage equipment selection, including switchgear, transformers, VFDs, and motor control centers. Collaborate with project management, operations, and multidisciplinary teams to ensure alignment of technical deliverables with business objectives. Manage engineering resources and budgets to meet project timelines and cost targets. Support the development and execution of capital projects from concept through commissioning. Review and approve engineering documentation, including single-line diagrams, load studies, arc flash analyses, and protection coordination. Ensure compliance with industry codes and regulations (e.g., NEC, IEEE, IEC, API). Drive continuous improvement in safety, reliability, and efficiency of electrical systems. Represent the electrical discipline in internal and external design reviews, audits, and risk assessments. Required Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field. Minimum 10 years of experience in medium voltage power systems. Proven experience leading engineering teams or managing technical personnel. Deep understanding of electrical engineering principles, standards, and design practices. Proficiency in design and analysis tools (e.g., ETAP, SKM PowerTools, AutoCAD, Revit). Strong communication and leadership skills with the ability to influence cross-functional teams. Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment. Preferred Qualifications

Experience with artificial lift systems or rotating equipment in the oil & gas or energy sector. Professional Engineer (PE) license or eligibility to obtain it. Familiarity with hazardous area design and compliance (e.g., API 500/505, ATEX). Experience working on both greenfield and brownfield projects. Industries
