AWS Specialist Solutions Architects (SSAs) are technologists with deep domain-specific expertise, able to address advanced concepts and feature designs. As part of the AWS sales organization, SSAs work with customers who have complex challenges that require expert-level knowledge to solve. SSAs craft scalable, flexible, and resilient technical architectures that address those challenges. This might involve guiding customers as they refactor an application or designing entirely new cloud-based systems. Do you enjoy solving novel and unique technical challenges for customers? Become an AWS Specialist SA!

Within the Worldwide Specialist Organization (WWSO) we drive revenue, adoption, and growth from large and mid-market accounts to enterprise-level customers. We work backwards from our customers’ most complex problems to build and execute go-to-market plans that turn AWS ideas into multi-billion-dollar businesses. WWSO teams include business development, specialist and technical solutions architecture. As part of WWSO, you’ll provide deep expertise across the entire lifecycle of a customer initiative, from developing ideas for new services to accelerating adoption of established businesses. We pride ourselves on thinking big, delivering results, and working across AWS as #OneTeam.

Within WWSO, this position is part of the Worldwide Specialist Team, where you will be the Subject Matter Expert (SME) for designing In-Memory architectures leveraging AWS services. You will work closely with the Database Services team, Business Development, and Sales to enable large-scale customer use cases and drive the adoption and revenue of AWS. You will develop whitepapers, blogs, reference architectures, and presentations to enable customers and partners to fully leverage AWS services. You will also create field enablement materials for the broader SA population to help other SAs understand how to integrate AWS caching services into customer architectures. As a trusted advisor and strategic leader with technical expertise in In-Memory/NoSQL database systems, you will share recommendations around security, cost, performance, reliability and operational efficiency to accelerate building key data solutions on AWS for our customers.
