As an Instrumentation & Controls (I&C) / SCADA Project Manager, youll provide project management services for I&C/SCADA system implementation projects in the drinking water and wastewater industry. Youll focus on management of regional I&C/SCADA projects across California, including master planning, design, and SCADA software programming. Youll prepare scope of work and level of effort estimates for contracting, work with staff managers for resource assignments, approve material and subcontractor invoices, prepare monthly client invoices, track change, and manage delivery to meet scope, schedule, and budget. You will coordinate with and manage staff to deliver projects across multiple Jacobs offices and project locations. Periodic travel is required. Jacobs supports a hybrid working policy, combining office/project work with remote work. Base pay range

$150,500.00/yr - $227,700.00/yr Responsibilities Provide project management services for Instrumentation and Control (I&C) / SCADA system implementation projects in the drinking water and wastewater industry. Manage regional I&C/SCADA projects across California, including master planning, design, and SCADA software programming. Prepare scope of work and level of effort estimates for contracting, and work with staff managers for resource assignment. Approve material and subcontractor invoices for payment, prepare monthly client invoices, track change, and manage delivery to meet scope, schedule, and budget. Coordinate with and manage staff to deliver projects across multiple Jacobs offices and project locations. Travel periodically as required.

Qualifications

8 years of direct project management experience delivering instrumentation and control system implementation projects with values over $50,000. Experience preparing scope of work and level of effort estimates for contracting. Experience with typical project management tools including schedules, risk registers, and logs for change management. Active professional engineering (PE) license in California or ability to obtain.

Ideal/Additional qualifications

Bachelors Degree in Environmental, Electrical, Chemical or Mechanical Engineering. 5-15 years of instrumentation and control design or software delivery experience. Basic understanding of Process and Instrumentation Diagrams (P&IDs). Experience with Allen-Bradley ControlLogix & CompactLogix, Modicon, and/or Siemens PLCs. Rockwell FactoryTalk, Aveva System Platform/InTouch, and/or Ignition HMI systems. Implementation of control system Ethernet networks, including fiber optic and CAT-6 cabling systems. Operational Technology (OT) systems, including virtual servers and ring networks. Instrument calibration and commissioning; control panel design and fabrication. Experience working in the drinking water and/or wastewater industries; experience with a control system integrator. Managing team members in multiple remote locations.

Benefits and compensation

The base salary range for this position is $150,500.00 to $227,700.00. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
