The Vice President in the Investment Team is responsible for executing transactions, managing existing investments, originating and developing the investment pipeline, supporting fundraising and assisting with sustainability and impact initiatives. Investment targets may include infrastructure assets or portfolio companies, across the energy transition sector. Key responsibilities
Evaluating, structuring and negotiating investment opportunities, as part of a team Creation and critical evaluation of financial models for specific assets Review of quarterly valuation memos Assisting in the preparation of quarterly and annual reports Preparation of analysis for inclusion in management information reports Leading in the due diligence process for prospective and owned investments including: Coordination with technical, commercial, legal, financial advisors and other key stakeholders Developing a network from which new investment opportunities can be originated Supporting and managing investments Assist in the preparation and review of Investment Committee papers and presentation of the same Learning about new technologies and markets and deepening knowledge about existing target sectors, including changes in regulation Working collaboratively with the team and taking responsibility for quality and accuracy of output Mentoring junior members of the Investment Team Experience
Minimum 6+ years of experience in investment banking, management consulting, or private equity with exposure to renewable energy, power sector investing, IPP, clean energy technology, or unlisted infrastructure. Background in infrastructure or energy transition more specifically Advanced quantitative, analytical, financial modelling, valuation, problem-solving solving and research capabilities with strong attention to detail. Ability and track record in delivering investment transactions from sourcing to exit. Deep understanding of portfolio management. Experience with fundraising activities and an ability participate with potential and existing LPs and quickly form a deep understand of the firm's capabilities, strategies and existing and future portfolios or assets Ability to consistently deliver quality outputs in a fast-paced environment, working to tight deadlines and the capability to handle multiple projects and ad-hoc requests simultaneously. Entrepreneurial and can function independently or as part of a highly collaborative team, who exhibits initiative and a detail-oriented commitment to a high-quality work product. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to interact with senior executives and cultivate key partnerships to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. Educated to degree level with a strong academic record / MBA Attributes
