What You'll Do and Who We Are Looking For PCC is seeking a strategic, equity-minded leader to serve as the Director of Talent Management and Development (TMD). This role is responsible for advancing PCC’s people-centered strategy through leadership development, employee learning, orientation and onboarding programs, and institutional capacity building.
As part of the People Strategy, Equity, and Culture (PSEC) division, the Director will lead efforts to build a strong foundation for employee development across all employee groups. This includes stewarding New Employee Orientation (NEO), launching collegewide learning initiatives, overseeing the implementation and use of learning systems and platforms, and partnering with leaders to align professional development with PCC’s mission, values, and strategic goals.
This position provides strategic and operational leadership for a newly established team of learning and development professionals and works collaboratively with partners across PCC.
Minimum Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in human resources, business administration, education, organizational development, or related field. Relevant experience may substitute for the degree requirement on a year-for-year basis
Minimum of five years of professional experience in areas such as human resources, talent development, employee relations, organizational assessment, performance assessment, or related functions
Success Criteria
Experience designing, implementing, and/or supporting professional learning programs, employee onboarding, and leadership development initiatives that support organizational goals.
Demonstrated ability to successfully work within unionized settings and balance competing priorities while fostering collaboration and trust.
Ability to lead initiatives from concept through implementation, ensuring alignment with strategic priorities and delivering measurable outcomes.
Brings enthusiasm to learning and employee development work, with learner-centered mindset that promotes employee engagement and a culture of growth and continuous improvement.
Demonstrated ability to communicate effectively across diverse audiences and organizational levels, adapting messaging to engage employees, leaders, and stakeholders.
Proven success in building partnerships and collaborating across departments, divisions, and stakeholder groups to advance institutional learning and talent priorities.
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in organizational development, human resources, education, instructional design, or related field
Seven or more years of progressive experience in talent development, organizational development, training, or employee relations with demonstrated leadership responsibilities
