Teton Ridge is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Corporate Counsel to join our team. This individual will be responsible for providing support across a wide range of corporate legal matters, with a particular focus on entertainment, media, advertising, and live sporting events. Responsibilities include managing commercial contracts, corporate governance, compliance, M&A activity, and risk management. The ideal candidate is proactive, detail-oriented, and capable of balancing legal rigor with practical business solutions.
Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate a variety of commercial agreements (e.g., vendor contracts, service agreements, NDAs, licensing), including agreements related to entertainment, media, advertising, and live sporting events
Support corporate governance efforts, including board and shareholder matters, entity management, and corporate filings
Advise internal stakeholders on legal risks, obligations, and business strategies
Assist in M&A transactions, including due diligence, transaction documents, and integration efforts
Monitor and ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations across relevant jurisdictions
Partner with cross-functional teams (Finance, HR, Operations, Marketing) to support business objectives and mitigate risk
Coordinate with outside counsel on specialized legal matters as needed
Support the development and implementation of internal legal policies, training, and processes
Qualifications
Solid experience in corporate law, contract negotiation, and general business law
Strong business acumen with a practical, solution-oriented approach to legal issues
Excellent communication, drafting, and interpersonal skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Business acumen and understanding of financial implications of legal decisions
Ethical and professional conduct
Requirements
Juris Doctor (J.D.) degree from an accredited law school
Licensed and in good standing with at least one U.S. state bar
4–7 years of relevant legal experience, with at least 2 years in a corporate/in-house environment preferred
