Lead Electrical Systems Engineer – Reusable Space Platforms | Denver, CO | Onsite. A stealth-mode space startup based in Denver is developing the first reusable satellite platform with controlled return capability – shifting space from a one-way mission to a two-way highway for innovation. They’re now looking for a Lead Electrical Systems Engineer to join their founding engineering team. You’ll lead the design of spacecraft power systems, from architecture to embedded firmware – supporting hardware design, vendor integration, and radiation-tolerant builds that will fly repeatedly. Responsibilities
Leading power and avionics architecture for reusable spacecraft Developing embedded firmware for flight-critical power systems Designing and qualifying radiation-tolerant and space-rated PCBs Collaborating with mechanical and thermal teams on systems integration Supporting technical hiring as the team grows Qualifications
8+ years' experience in spacecraft electronics and power systems Deep understanding of embedded systems (both hardware + firmware) Background in qualifying and flying space-rated electronics Strong command of high-reliability PCBA design and manufacturing A track record of operating in fast-paced, high-stakes environments Bonus Points For
MS in Electrical Engineering FPGA or digital design experience Familiarity with SMC-S-016 or EEE-INST-002 standards Location
