Job DescriptionA world-class, growth-oriented manufacturer specializing in forged and machined steel products is seeking a driven Business Development Manager. This organization is recognized for its innovative solutions, technical expertise, and commitment to operational excellence, serving clients in Aerospace, Defense, and other demanding sectors. The Business Development Manager will play a key role in identifying, developing, and securing strategic partnerships with technical and supply chain leaders in the Aerospace & Defense industry. This highly visible position will drive new business opportunities, champion the customer experience, and foster long-term client relationships - all while working collaboratively across internal teams to deliver market-leading solutions. Salary + Additional Benefits: Depending on Experience Competitive Commission Structure Medical, Dental, Vision Insurance 401K - company match Location: Houston, TX Type of Position: Direct Hire Responsibilities: Develop, implement, and manage initiatives to grow market share in new and existing sectors. Cultivate and convert high-potential prospects; build and maintain robust customer pipelines. Lead virtual and in-person presentations, demos, and selling events. Pre-qualify new business opportunities and drive account penetration. Create and execute targeted lead-generation campaigns; track and report on results. Embrace and optimize CRM tools and processes to inform strategy and track progress. Research market trends and competitors; generate actionable insights for management. Represent the company at industry events, conferences, and media opportunities. Drive operational excellence through strong internal collaboration and knowledge sharing. Network and foster partnerships with internal and external stakeholders. Requirements: Minimum 5 years of manufacturing sales or business development experience within Aerospace & Defense. Strong network of relationships with OEMs and decision-makers in the Energy and Aerospace markets. Bachelor's degree in a relevant field, is a plus! Experience selling manufactured metal components. Broad business acumen spanning marketing, finance, product development, engineering, and global sales. Proven track record of working cross-functionally to drive value and innovation in the marketplace. Strategic mindset with a talent for market analysis, pricing, and portfolio alignment. Exceptional communication, organizational, and planning skills. Ability to anticipate industry trends and customer needs, and to drive market differentiation. Flexible, detail-oriented, and highly motivated.
