Role

As a Plant Manager, you will play a major role in planning, organizing, reviewing, and managing a large manufacturing operation. The plant has 250 employees, a $100 Million budget, and is located in Inwood, West Virginia (relocation package included).

Responsibilities

  • Direct production and ensure cost effectiveness and consistency with prescribed quality, accuracy, and performance standards.
  • Lead 24/7/365 plant operations , ensuring uninterrupted production while maintaining safety, efficiency, and product quality.
  • Instill a safety-first, safety-always mindset across the organization, embedding a zero-injury policy as a non-negotiable standard in daily plant operations.
  • Oversee the P&L of the plant by aligning revenue, costs, and capital investments with both operational efficiency and long-term strategic objectives.
  • Apply deep technical knowledge to oversee complex, high-volume manufacturing processes , ensuring quality standards and regulatory compliance are met.
  • Prepare and submit operating reports to management to inform them of current production status and to make recommendations to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Select, train, develop, and motivate manufacturing staff to maintain plant operations. Ensure compliance of all plant operations with company policy and federal, state, and local regulations.

Experience Required

  • 10 years of experience in a fast-paced manufacturing environment with at least 5 years of leadership in that environment
  • Ability to develop, implement, and enforce comprehensive safety programs and processes to ensure a zero-injury culture across all plant operations.
  • Lead continuous flow manufacturing processes (beyond batch production), driving efficiency gains through lean methodologies, Kaizen, and Six Sigma-like principles.
  • Prior experience successfully executing operational turnarounds by diagnosing performance issues, stabilizing production, and implementing corrective strategies to restore profitability.
  • Managed large-scale manufacturing operations with 75+ employees, overseeing staffing, scheduling, and workforce development.
  • Experience of having full accountability for plant-level P&L
  • Manage operations for diverse manufacturing products such as building materials, glass, windows, paper, textiles, or insulation products
