Job DetailsJob LocationHappys Potato Chip Company - St. Anthony, MNSalary Range$24.73 - $24.73 HourlyJob Shift3rd ShiftDescriptionUnder the direction of the sanitation supervisor the sanitation lead will assist in coordinating and leading the activities of the sanitation team. The Sanitation lead person will assist with the cleaning and sanitizing of all food handling equipment and each area of the facility in a timely manner. The sanitation lead person will be responsible for following and monitoring all Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), Safe Quality Foods (SQF) guidelines, and company policies. Follows SSOP's to ensure food processing equipment and plant are cleaned to food safe guidelines and regulations. Ensures daily assignments are safely and satisfactorily completed. Sanitation Lead is able to perform all duties of Sanitation Personnel.Major Job Duties:1) Partner with the Sanitation Supervisor to manage cleaning and sanitation operations in the facility to insure proper execution of sanitation activities.2) Maintain and monitor all pre-requisite systems within the facility to ensure that all required documentation is consistently and accurately completed.3) Cleans assigned equipment per the Master Sanitation Schedule (MSS) and according to Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP).4) Adhere to GMP's as well as SQF requirements. Adhere to safe work practices, maintain sanitary conditions, and ensure that product quality is maintained. Report to management any conditions or practices that may adversely affect food safety, food quality or personnel safety.5) Follows all safety procedures and policies.6) Maintains daily verification paperwork and MSS documentation.7) Assist with the collection and verification of ATP swabs and allergen swabs and fill out the corresponding sanitation records. (Including monthly swab with QC)8) Assist in chemical titrations and monitoring of chemical usages and fill out the corresponding paperwork.9) Assess the sanitation activities to ensure proper cleaning of equipment and environment. Coach employees in proper techniques and follow through to ensure there is adequate understanding to perform tasks assigned.10) Ensure chemical usage guidelines are being followed.11) Reports observed performance and behavioral issues to the supervisor.12) Supports investigation and root cause analysis to improve process performance.13) Fill in for the sanitation supervisor when absent.14) Performs other duties as assigned.QualificationsOne year experience in sanitation in a food manufacturing facility. Must be able to work weekends and overtime. Computer competent in Word, Excel, and Outlook. Authorized to operate lift trucks.Essential job functions:1) Communicate effectively verbally and provide ethical leadership.2) Work with the sanitation team by proactively assisting and or delegating tasks.3) Ability to push, pull, bend, stretch, twist, and reach throughout the shift.4) Ability to lift 50 lbs. and push up to 50 pounds of force.5) Ability to reach, grasp, and make fast repeated movements of fingers, hands, and wrists throughout the shift.6) Ability to ascend/descend stairs/ ladders throughout the shift.7) Ability to operate at or above shoulder height for short periods of time throughout the shift.8) Ability to frequently walk, stand, reach, stoop, kneel or crouch.9) Ability to accurately complete sanitation paperwork.10) Ability to perform all sanitation tasks.11) Ability to work with chemicals.12) Basic Microsoft computer skills.13) Effectively lead sanitation team.14) Ability to operate lift trucks.15) Perform basic math calculation, accurately.16) Dependable attendance and must be able to work overtime.The above job description is not inclusive of all job duties.
