Senior Trial Attorney
with
10+ years of litigation experience
to join its collaborative and purpose-driven team. With a focus on
real estate, affordable housing, land use, and public agency law , this firm offers a unique opportunity to work on impactful cases that shape communities. Position Overview
This is an exciting opportunity for a seasoned litigator to take the lead on complex matters involving
public agencies and mission-driven organizations . The ideal candidate will have substantial experience in all phases of litigation, including law and motion, discovery, and trial. A background in
land use, affordable housing law, CEQA, HUD regulations, public contracts, or municipal governance
is highly preferred. We offer a hybrid work environment with flexibility and a strong sense of purpose. Key Responsibilities
Manage litigation matters from inception through resolution, including trial. Handle law and motion practice, oral arguments, and discovery. Collaborate with attorneys across practice areas, including real estate, land use, and public law. Represent public agencies and mission-driven clients in a variety of complex disputes. Contribute to a team-oriented, mission-driven legal environment. Qualifications
Juris Doctor from an accredited law school with a strong academic record. Active California Bar license with at least 10 years of litigation experience. Significant experience in pretrial litigation, including law and motion and oral argument. Trial experience and the ability to manage cases independently. Excellent legal writing, research, and communication skills. Strong attention to detail and ability to work collaboratively. Preferred Experience
Direct experience with public agency clients. Familiarity with CEQA, HUD regulations, public contracts, or municipal governance. Background in affordable housing law or land use litigation. Labor and employment law. Petitions for writ of mandate and appellate work. Location & Schedule
Hybrid role based in
Oakland, CA
(must live within commuting distance). In-office presence preferred two days per week, with flexibility. Interested?
