We're growing quickly and looking for an Industrial Painter/Sandblaster.

AS AN INDUSTRIAL PAINTER/SANDBLASTER, YOU WILL WORK AS A TEAM DOING THE FOLLOWING:

Prepare surfaces to remove adhering scale, paint, grease, tar, rust, dirt, and to apply specified finishes. Operate abrasive-blasting equipment over differently sized assemblies; also use shovels or pour abrasives, such as sand of specified grades into machines. Setup areas, including preparing equipment and material, mask specified areas of objects, inspect units, clean and wipe, handle, sand, and fill holes, while protecting the building and surrounding materials. Prepare equipment and material for surface finishing. Visually inspect product(s) to minimize defects prior to coating and for conformance to quality standards. Must be able to move, use and climb ladders or stairs of all heights. Apply painting techniques, such as prime, paint, sand, scrape, caulk and operate required hand tools in the removal of debris and possible hazards. Clean and maintain work area and equipment, including routine maintenance of tools. Complete internal documents. Continually look for opportunities to increase efficiency of painting and sandblasting processes and procedures. Participate in required training and testing. Other duties as assigned.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles. The employee occasionally works in high, precarious places and near moving mechanical parts.

The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. Hearing protection is required while working in the paint and welding departments.

The employee is required to wear safety glasses while working in the paint and welding departments. Also required may be steel-toe work boots/shoes, sleeves, or gloves, according to the procedure or operation.
