Senior Corporate Accountant Manufacturing

Faced paced manufacturing company is seeking a Senior Corporate Accountant to join its growing team. This position is responsible for maintaining the general ledger, executing journal entries, performing reconciliations, managing payroll-related accounting, and supporting audits. The ideal candidate has a strong understanding of US GAAP, experience with ERP systems and excellent Excel and communication skills. Key Responsibilities Lead and support the month-end close process, including: Preparing journal entries Performing balance sheet and account reconciliations Managing accruals and prepaids Perform daily cash applications for unapplied receipts and deposits Complete monthly bank and cash reconciliations Record payroll-related journal entries, including: 401(k) true-ups FSA transactions Workers compensation accruals Prepare accruals for professional fees, consulting, and other operating expenses Conduct actual vs. budget variance analysis; collaborate with department heads to resolve discrepancies Assist with audit preparation, tax compliance reporting, and documentation for regulatory agencies Troubleshoot accounting issues related to A/R, A/P, cash, billings, and payroll Apply and interpret accounting policies and ensure consistent application across processes Work on ad hoc financial and operational projects as assigned Qualifications Bachelors Degree in Accounting or related field 5+ years of progressive accounting experience Strong understanding of US GAAP and accounting principles Proficient in Excel (formulas, pivot tables, financial analysis) Experience with ERP systems such as JD Edwards, Microsoft D365, or similar platforms Detail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving skills Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities Strong organizational, oral, and written communication skills Ability to meet tight deadlines and adapt in a fast-paced environment Comfortable accessing and learning multiple systems
