Duties & Responsibilities: Client Intake & Initial Consultation: Build trust with clients through compassionate communication. Gather and document essential facts related to liability, damages, and coverage. Outline clear action steps for clients and the firm to ensure case success. Direct and oversee investigations to build a strong case foundation. Assess insurance coverage and collect all necessary evidence for trial preparation. Negotiation: Strategically negotiate settlements with adjusters while aiming for Full Settlement Value. Maintain strong relationships with adjusters and stakeholders. Prepare cases for trial and litigate if a satisfactory settlement cannot be reached. Litigation: Draft pleadings and discovery documents for lawsuits. Strategize for trial, mediation, or arbitration, ensuring thorough preparations. General Responsibilities: Review and sign off on correspondence drafted by team members. Collaborate with the team to ensure efficient case progression. Requirements: Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team setting. Excellent communication skills and the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues. Strong negotiation skills, with the ability to settle cases and advocate fiercely when necessary. Education: Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school. Certifications: Admission to the State Bar of Ohio. Skills: High level of organization and attention to detail. Strong written and oral communication skills. Ability to handle complex legal matters with expertise. Negotiation and conflict resolution skills.
