Job Summary
The Human Resources Generalist will work as part of the HR team and play a pivotal role in supporting HR functions to enhance the work environment and ensure seamless HR operations at Phenix Truck & Van. This role is ideal for a highly organized individual with a passion for human resources, attention to detail, and the ability to manage multiple tasks effectively.
Key Responsibilities
Employee Relations: Serve as a first point of contact for employee inquiries.
Onboarding and Offboarding: Facilitate smooth onboarding for new hires, including orientation, documentation, and training. Manage offboarding processes, ensuring proper exit protocols.
HR Administration: Maintain accurate employee records, update HRMS, and ensure data protection compliance.
HR Management System: Ensure accurate data entry and management within HRMS.
Time & Attendance: Review and process attendance data.
Payroll & Benefits: Assist with payroll processing, benefits enrollment, and employee inquiries related to compensation and benefits.
Workers' Compensation: Process forms (5020 & DWC1) promptly and accurately.
Recruitment & Talent Acquisition: Coordinate interview schedules, manage applicant tracking, and support hiring managers.
Performance Evaluation: Assist with administering performance appraisals and tracking completion.
Employee Engagement: Support initiatives to foster a positive work culture.
Other Duties: Assist with additional HR projects and administrative tasks as needed.
Qualifications
Education: Bachelors degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or related field preferred.
Experience: 5+ years in HR, preferably in manufacturing or related industries.
Skills:
Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively in a team.
Proficiency in HRMS and Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of HR principles, employment laws, and regulations.
Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
Problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
