Parallel Employment is actively seeking a Purchasing Manager for a Buffalo company. This role is essential in ensuring that operations run smoothly by acquiring goods and services that meet both quality and cost-effective standards. The Purchasing Manager will work closely with various internal teams and external suppliers to optimize purchasing strategies and inventory management.
Schedule: Monday-Friday, 8:30am-5:00pm
Pay Rate $23-$28/hr DOE
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement purchasing strategies and budgets that align with company goals.
Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for favorable terms and pricing.
Monitor inventory levels and make purchasing decisions based on demand forecasts.
Utilize inventory management systems to track orders, deliveries, and stock levels.
Analyze market trends and pricing to make informed purchasing decisions.
Coordinate with production and sales teams to align inventory with operational needs.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulations in purchasing practices.
Utilize data to improve procurement processes and reduce costs.
Prepare reports on purchasing activities and supply chain performance.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field.
Proven experience in international purchasing within the supply chain sector.
Strong negotiation skills and the ability to build relationships with suppliers.
Proficiency in procurement software and inventory management systems.
Excellent analytical skills with a strategic mindset.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
