Role Description
This is a full-time on-site role for an Assistant Project Manager supporting our project management team in the Washington DC metropolitan area. You'll be integral to planning, coordinating, and executing premium construction projects from preconstruction through completion. This hands-on role offers significant growth opportunities in a small company environment where you'll gain exposure to all aspects of project management while working alongside experienced industry professionals.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with project planning, scheduling, and resource allocation
Coordinate with subcontractors, suppliers, and trade professionals
Conduct site inspections and quality assurance reviews
Manage project documentation, submittals, and change orders
Track project budgets, costs, and timelines
Facilitate communication between field operations and clients
Support permit expediting and regulatory compliance
Maintain detailed project records and progress reports
Assist with material procurement and logistics coordination
Ideal Candidate Profiles
New Graduate Track:
Recent graduate with engineering, construction management, or related degree
Strong academic foundation with coursework in project management or construction
Internship or co-op experience in construction/engineering preferred
Eager to learn and grow in a mentorship-focused environment
Experienced Trade Professional Track:
Experienced foreman, lead tradesperson, or site supervisor
3+ years hands-on construction experience
Looking to transition into project management
Strong understanding of construction processes and quality standards
Required Qualifications
Technical Proficiency:
Advanced skills in Microsoft Office 365 suite (Excel, Project, Word, PowerPoint, Teams) Communication:
Excellent written and verbal communication skills Organization:
Strong multitasking abilities and attention to detail Transportation:
Valid driver's license and reliable transportation Commitment:
