Goals and Objectives of position:
- Manage internal and customer projects
- Manage projects and achieve customer schedules and meet or exceed budgets
- Implement and follow-up on improvements
- Continuing to increase project & process efficiency and increase customer satisfaction
- Manage and support successful new product and process launch
Duties and Responsibilities: Job duties include but are not limited to the following: - After new business awards, responsible for processing and management of project through various areas until completion (Gantt charts, customer milestones, APQP, PFMEA, process flow, process steps) - Create long and short-term plans, including setting targets for milestones, adhering to deadlines and allocating resources - Project task delegation to team members best positioned to complete tasks - Identify and manage potential risks and liabilities of multiple projects - Assist in the definition of project scope and goals - Leadership/Ownership of internal and external projects - Make effective decisions when presented with multiple options for how to progress with the project - Serve as point of contact for teams when multiple units are assigned to the same project to ensure team actions remain in synergy - Occasional travel to customers and suppliers - Communicating with executives to keep the project aligned with their goals - Performing quality control on the project throughout development to maintain the standards expected - Adjusting schedules and targets on the project as needed - Motivating people involved in the project to complete tasks on time - Prepare various reports and keep customer records - Provide project cost summaries and present to executives - Production launch support
Qualifications, Knowledge and Skills: - Science and engineering graduates with good communication skills - Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering, Manufacturing Engineer, Industrial Engineer, Master of Science or related field required. - Work experience is not required, Entry-level applicants welcome. - General understanding in cost calculation, job costing and customer contact. - Must have computer skills in MS Office & MS Project and basics understanding in working with ERP-systems. - Basic in mechanical engineering - Must have troubleshooting and analyzing skills - Strong communication skills and detail oriented
Work Environment and Physical Demands: - 3-5 hours per day sitting at computer station - 3-5 hours per day standing moving around facility including stairs - Lifting up to 30lbs.
