Automation Controls Engineer - Process Instrumentation

We are seeking an experienced and dedicated Automation Controls Product Engineer specializing in Process Instrumentation to join our Industrial Automation products company. In this role, the successful candidate will become the product subject matter expert, working with both internal and external teams to analyze, specify, test, and support innovative automation solutions across a variety of industries. Salary:

$95,000.00 - $120,000.00 per year

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: Leverage strong product knowledge to strategically select and develop products that enhance and expand the company's portfolio, effectively meeting the dynamic needs of customers. Manage full product ownership throughout the product lifecycle, ensuring consistently high quality and innovation. Conduct thorough evaluations and rigorous testing of new products and technologies to ensure compliance and performance standards are met. Provide diligent support during new product introductions including documentation, training, and expert second-tier support during business hours. Execute life-cycle management projects aimed at enhancing product quality and reducing costs. Perform detailed supplier evaluations to assess product offerings, technological capabilities, and support structures. Engage in self-directed domestic and international travel as required for product development and supplier interaction. Minimum Position Qualifications:

Degree in a technical discipline, ideally BS in Mechatronics, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering with a strong preference for candidates with at least 6 years of relevant experience. Proven experience in industrial control and automation markets or OEM manufacturing of process instrumentation products. Demonstrated experience with process sensors (pressure, temperature, flow, level, etc.) including application, integration, or design of temperature/process controls. Strong foundation in utilizing CAD tools such as AutoCAD and SolidWorks for product design and engineering documentation. Exceptional organizational skills, time management capabilities, and strong interpersonal communication skills. Self-starting capability with a proven track record of independently managing projects and deadlines. Preferred Qualifications:

10 years of experience in related fields, offering deeper industry insights and problem-solving abilities. Experience with industrial control products including PLCs, HMIs, sensors, and power products. Knowledge of agency approvals processes (UL, CSA, CE, RoHS, etc.) and standards. Skills:

Exceptional technical support and customer service skills with the ability to provide detailed product training and assistance. Strong analytical skills for evaluating new products and supplier capabilities. Excellent communication skills for collaborating with cross-functional teams and external partners. In-depth knowledge of the latest industry technologies and trends in automation and process instrumentation. Leadership abilities with experience guiding teams through complex product development processes. Benefits:
