Head of Business Development, OEMs - Remote | Washington D.C. - Autonomy & Navigation Tech

Join a fast-paced company building critical autonomy and navigation systems for the aerospace and defence sector. As Head of OEM Business Development, you'll be the commercial architect; identifying and scaling strategic partnerships with platform manufacturers and systems integrators. If you know how to take a breakthrough product from pilot to platform-wide adoption, this is your chance to lead from the front.

Key Responsibilities

  • Own commercial strategy for OEM and Tier 1 partnerships
  • Build and manage relationships with airframe manufacturers and primes
  • Take responsibility for partner success - from technical scoping through deployment
  • Shape and negotiate long-term agreements covering licensing, data sharing, and integration
  • Be the voice of the customer internally, ensuring alignment between partners and product
  • Represent the company externally with credibility, confidence, and vision

Key Requirements

  • 10+ years in aerospace, defence tech, or autonomy-related BD or partnerships
  • Experience selling or integrating complex systems (avionics, ISR, autonomy platforms, etc.)
  • Strong understanding of how OEMs and Tier 1s operate and how to work with them
  • Strategic mindset, but able to execute quickly in a startup environment
  • Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Able to travel regularly across the US

This role combines ownership, scale, and impact. You’ll help shape how autonomy gets embedded across modern aerospace platforms and have the backing, runway, and tech to deliver. Ideal for someone who’s ready to build a commercial function with long-term legacy.
