About the Job
A leading middle-market private equity firm is seeking a highly motivated Associate or Senior Associate to join its healthcare-focused investment team. The ideal candidate will play a critical role across the full investment lifecycle, from origination and diligence to portfolio management and exit planning, while helping drive thematic sector strategies and operational growth.
Responsibilities
- Lead financial modeling, valuation, and investment committee materials
- Support transaction structuring and third-party diligence processes
- Sourcing & Evaluation
- Conduct proactive sector research across healthcare verticals
- Review inbound opportunities and support outreach to founders and intermediaries
- Collaborate with operating teams to identify and implement growth initiatives
- Monitor company performance, analyze KPIs, and report key insights
- Internal & External Engagement
- Prepare board materials, portfolio updates, and investor communications
- Partner closely with senior leadership and value creation professionals
- 2–5 years of private equity, investment banking experience
- Exposure to healthcare transactions
- Strong analytical and financial modeling skills
- Demonstrated ability to evaluate investments and manage deal processes
- Excellent communication and project management abilities
- Highly driven team player with a low-ego, high-performance mindset
- Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier institution
- MBA or graduate degree a plus but not required
