Pay Information $1,611 per week About The Position Job Title: RN - Emergency Department Profession: Registered Nurse Specialty: Emergency Department Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: Night Shift Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: 1 Year Minimum License: Active RN License Certifications: ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, NIHSS Must-Have: Candidates must have ACLS, BLS, ENPC, TNCC, and NIHSS certifications. Candidates without these skills will not be considered for the role. Description: This position is a backfill contract for an RN in the Emergency Department. The shift will be from 6:00 PM to 6:00 AM. No on-call is required. Experience in trauma is preferred. The unit has 48 private rooms, 27 hallway stretchers, 9 fast track areas, and 5 behavioral health beds. There are 111 staff members on the unit. Day shift staff includes a charge nurse, additional mid-shifts, patient care technicians, a paramedic, and a licensed vocational nurse. Night shift staffing mirrors the day shift. Typical patient ratios are 1:4 for emergency department patients, 1:5 for behavioral health patients, and 1:3 for cardiac/trauma patients. Key equipment used includes Alaris pumps, Belmont and Level 1 rapid infusers, and Stryker stretchers. Preferred skills include experience with Meditech, trauma, inpatient care, and crisis prevention intervention. Typical procedures performed include splinting, EKGs, central monitoring, trauma assists, central lines, airway support, behavioral health de-escalation, Morgan lens use, rapid infusion, and resuscitation. Ideal candidates are self-starters, multitaskers, and team players. Dress code includes navy blue scrubs. All established policies and guidelines must be followed.
