American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for an Intermediate Care position requiring IL licensure, telemetry and neuro stepdown experience, and competency in advanced cardiac skills.Job Details•Position is in an Intermediate Care (IMC) unit within an acute care hospital,•Facility functions as a Level I trauma center and is also a Magnet-designated teaching hospital,•Patient population includes telemetry, stepdown/PCU/DOU, neuro, orthopedic, and post-cardiac care with complex medical needs,•Typical nurse-to-patient ratios and daily caseload may vary by shift and acuity,•Night shift schedule: 3x12 hour shifts (18:45-07:15), option for 4x12 hour shifts available,•Every other weekend required,•Floating required within the hospital and to affiliated locations as needed,•No on-call responsibilities,•Uses Cerner for charting; Cerner experience preferred,Job Requirements•Active IL RN license required at time of application,•Minimum 1 year recent IMC/telemetry/stepdown nursing experience; 18 months preferred,•Current BLS and NIH Stroke Scale certifications required; ACLS preferred (AHA or Red Cross accepted, RQI not accepted),•Competency in telemetry, cardiac monitoring, and emergency response including dysrhythmia interpretation, management of cardiac and vasoactive drips, and rapid response activation,•Experience with post-cardiac procedure care, sheath removal, TR Band, feeding tube care, central and peripheral line care, blood product administration, phlebotomy, and advanced IV skills,•Ability to care for ventilated patients and use respiratory equipment including CPAP/BIPAP and high flow nasal cannula,•Proficient in neurological, orthopedic, plastics, and general surgical post-op care,•Must have experience with wound care, isolation precautions, and managing complex post-surgical cases,•Cerner EMR experience preferred,•Must not have been a perm or PRN employee of Memorial in the past 12 months,Additional Information•Completion of modules and orientation required with some online training to be completed before and on first day,•Expected to work 2 out of 3 major holidays during the assignment,•Five days of requested time off may be auto-approved; additional requests require facility approval,•No radius restrictions for local candidates,•Scrub attire is any solid color,•Parking permit provided at no cost and arranged during orientation,•First-time travelers are not accepted for this position,•Background check approval needed prior to offer,•Lab appointment, Docusigns, and badge photo required prior to start,•Team includes experienced healthcare professionals with support in a high-acuity environment,•Teaching hospital experience is preferred,),•hash,:• ,
