American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Progressive Care Unit (PCU) position requiring current IL licensure, strong telemetry/stepdown skills, and extensive experience with neuro, cardiac, and respiratory cases.Job Details•Position is based in the Progressive Care Unit (PCU) of a Level I Trauma acute care hospital,•Nights, 3x12 or 4x12 hour shifts (18:45-07:15), with every other weekend required,•Care for diverse populations including neuro, cardiac, post-surgical, and respiratory stepdown patients,•Ratios and caseloads typical for a stepdown/PCU environment,•Will float within scope to other units and to nearby affiliated hospitals as needed,•No on-call required,•Uses Cerner EMR, with experience preferred,Job Requirements•Active IL RN license required at time of application,•Minimum 1 year recent PCU/Stepdown/IMC/Telemetry experience required,•Current BLS and NIHSS certifications required; ACLS preferred,•Solid experience with cardiac monitoring, dysrhythmia interpretation/management, rapid response, post-cardiac procedures, and hemodialysis management,•Proficiency in the management of complex neuro and trauma cases including craniotomies, CVA, and spinal cord injuries,•Experience with advanced respiratory and orthopedic care including ventilated patients, chest tubes, HFNC, and total joint replacements,•Must be able to start IVs, manage arterial lines, central/PICC lines, administer blood products, and titrate cardiac/vasoactive drips,•Must be able to complete all required pre-employment labs, modules, and badging prior to start,•Not open to first-time travelers,•Former employees of Memorial must be separated for 12 months before consideration,Additional Information•Deliver advanced stepdown level care to complex medical, neuro, and cardiac patient populations,•Work in a Magnet hospital environment with a large support team and multidisciplinary collaboration,•Teaching hospital with exposure to cutting-edge practices and equipment,•Scrubs may be any solid color,•Must work 2 out of 3 major holidays; up to 5 days non-holiday time off may be auto-approved,•Parking provided with permit at no charge,•Hospital prefers candidates with Cerner and Level I Trauma experience,•All travelers must float as required to hospital units or affiliate locations,•Modules and orientation completed virtually or onsite as indicated,),•hash,:• ,
