American Traveler is seeking an experienced RN for a Level 3 Labor and Delivery position requiring call, float, and specialized certifications.Job Details•Work in a Level 3 labor and delivery unit within a short-term acute care setting,•Care for antenatal, laboring, and bereavement mothers including vaginal and c-section deliveries and surgical procedures related to labor and delivery,•Postpartum patients may occasionally be held on the unit if postpartum floor is full,•Level 3 NICU is available in-house,•Follows AWHONN staffing guidelines for patient ratios,•Day shifts available: 4x12 hours, 7:00-19:30,•Weekend work required every third weekend,•Required on-call: 24 hours per 6 weeks,•100% floating required, including to other affiliate hospitals,•Uses Cerner EMR; experience required,•Blue scrubs required,Job Requirements•Active RN license (IN or Compact) in hand prior to start date,•Minimum 18 months of recent labor and delivery experience required,•Current certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRP, and AWHONN Intermediate (Advanced preferred),•Ability to serve as Charge RN is required,•IV start skills required,•Graduation from an accredited university (ACEN or CCNE),•Two supervisor references required,•Must provide DOB and SSN for consideration,•IN residents are not eligible for this position,•Former PERM or PRN employees must have a 12-month break before applying as a traveler,Additional Information•Responsibilities include caring for antepartum and laboring patients, scheduled inductions, c-section and D&C procedures, baby catching, circulating, and providing bereavement care,•Unit is fast-paced and recently renovated with triage and on-unit ORs,•24/7 anesthesia and OB laborist coverage,•Must be prepared to float within the facility and to nearby affiliates as necessary,•First-time travelers are welcome,•Candidates must work at least 2 out of 3 major holidays,•RTO: Up to 5 days of non-holiday time off can be auto approved; more requires approval,•Free parking is available for staff,),•hash,:• ,
