Pay Information $3,233 per week About The Position Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: Nursing Specialty: Labor and Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Day 4x12-Hour Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum 1.5 years required License: Must have a valid nursing license prior to start date Certifications: ACLS, BLS, NRP, AWHONN Intermediate (Advanced Preferred) Must-Have: Charge experience required; must float as required Description: This position is located within a labor and delivery unit. The unit cares for antenatal, laboring, and bereavement patients. Responsibilities include managing vaginal births, C-section deliveries, and surgical procedures related to labor and delivery. This is a fast-paced, recently renovated unit that includes triage and operating rooms. Care is provided to patients who are antenatal, laboring, and scheduled for inductions, C-sections, D&Cs, and other related procedures. The unit also supports bereavement care and has a Level 3 NICU on-site. The postpartum floor is separate but may hold postpartum patients temporarily on the labor unit during busy periods. Anesthesia and OB coverage are available around the clock. Staffing follows specific guidelines for nurse-to-patient ratios. Registered Nurses in this role will be required to float to other units or facilities as necessary. The unit requires involvement in on-call duties, with a commitment of 24 hours every six weeks. Weekend work is required, typically on a rotational basis. The facility follows protocols for appropriate patient care and interdisciplinary support services are readily available.
